We seize this opportunity to introduce ourselves as the major foundry in Turkey producing nodular and grey iron rough castings for the automotive, agricultural tractor and off-road machinery industries since 1977 in our Plant in Orhangazi - Bursa and producing low and high pressure aluminium die castings in Manisa. Doktas has taken over the aluminium plant located in Manisa, very close to Izmir, in March, 1999. With eight automatic moulding lines each specialized in different types of components in Orhangazi; 11 low pressure and 16 high pressure die casting machines, capacities ranging from 180 to 1350 tons each, we are serving our customers with a wide variety of products. Our policy is to pursue all technological improvements enabling us to maintain our competitive position in the global marketplace. Production range of Doktas comprises grey and nodular iron castings like cylinder blocks and heads, transmission cases, gear boxes, axle housings, axle beams, brake discs and drums, flywheels, bearing caps and crankshafts, suspension arms, planetary hub carriers, exhaust manifolds; light alloy wheels, gearbox, flywheel, water pump, oil pump housings, covers, electrical connector housings, aluminium radiators etc. Besides serving our domestic customers like Turk Traktor, Tofas, Renault, Ford Otosan, Otoyol, Massey Ferguson in the passenger cars, trucks and agricultural tractors industries, we export approximately 50% of our production to 46 original equipment manufacturers, namely Ford in England, France and Germany; J.C.B., Dana Spicer and Nacco in England; Kessler, ATU, Rose, Heinrichs and N.A.F. in Germany; Dana Spicer, Carraro, Graziano, Iveco, Clark-Hurth, New Holland and Sira in Italy; Wabco, Paul Journee and Valeo in France; Caterpillar in Belgium; Shin Caterpillar and Mitsubishi in Japan. We are proud of being a World Class Foundry both in quality and commercial aspects. We have deserved the "Q1" preferred quality award from Ford in 1991, an indication of good quality along with good service we have rendered to Ford factories. As of July 1994, we have received ISO 9002 certificate from Bureau Veritas Quality International U.K. We are producing crankshafts for several applications by green sand moulding to several customers. As mentioned above we are supplier to Swansea, Dueren, Cologne and Bordeaux Plants of Ford with Supplier Codes D12HA, D12GA and S8UQA through our Export Company Ram Dis Ticaret A.S.
