Founded in 1939, nowadays Metalska Industrija Varazdin - MIV d.d. is a renown manufacturer of: valves for water supply systems, energetics, processing industry, ship building, irrigation; fittings and sewer casting for water supply and sewerage systems; application for convenyance of the media: water, steam, gas, oil; connections: flange, socket, KS-joint, joints for AC, tayton-joint; sealing systems; production of special valves, special conveyors, equipment for food industry, level controlling units with ball and float, decorative light columns, size reducing machines for organic materials, etc. The foundry produces high quality gray cast iron GG 25, nodulized graphite cast iron GGG 40-60 and non-ferrous castings for processing, petrochemical and motor industry, decorative castings. The enterprise is selling today 50% of its products on foreign markets. The valves and fittings are installed in water-pipe and sewerage systems of some of the world metropolises. With an annual production of 7500 tons of valves and fittings, the MIV d.d. is classed with the greatest producers of such equipment in Europe. The quality of the products is certified by Lloyd's register, Bureau Veritas, Det norske Veritas, Croatian register.
