Foundry Association of Ukraine (ALU) is a voluntary all-Ukrainian public organization founded in 1990 at the first congress of founders of Ukraine. On June 1, 1993 ALU became an official member of the International Committee of Foundry Technical Associations, and in July 1999 became part of the Ukrainian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs. The basic organization is the ALU Physical and Technological Institute of Metals and Alloys (formerly Institute of casting problems) NAS. Foundry Association of Ukraine has 275 member foundries.
