Casting precise, internally sound lost foam products requires demanding detail in the "white side" of the process. The foundryman must understand the engineer's product design requirements and the foam molders manufacturing needs, as well as the typical casting parameters in order to make a sound quality part. In this talk, GM engineers will:
1) Review the CAD and CAM steps utilized in building the lost foam molding and assemble tools;
2) Highlight the molding machine parameters in blowing acceptable lost foam patterns/models.
